There is an increased focus on mental health in the legal community. That doesn’t mean things are improving.
So, let’s talk about it.
In a 2023 survey of nearly 3,000 attorneys, over 38% said they were depressed. [1]. A third felt “helpless, trapped, detached, or alone in the world.” [2]. 15% knew someone in the legal profession who died by suicide in the past two years. [3].
